The Creator- A Film Review- The rewrite

If you read my First Film review… here is the rewrite with help from DS106’s AI teaching assistant Dr. Oblivion.

The Creator is a highly enjoyable movie that came out just last year, yet it has easily become my favorite movie about Ai. The movie shows not only the downfalls but the advantages that AI can have, while also addressing concerns about AI as it becomes increasingly powerful. It goes into the moral implications of creating higher AI and how it can impact human society.

The Creator is a Science fiction movie about a brilliant scientist who invents an advanced AI and an American soldier who falls in love with her. Originally on a mission to find the scientist who created Ai, the soldier finds himself falling in love and marrying while deep undercover. Then heartbreak strikes when he believes his child and wife are dead, until on another mission evidence of her being alive surfaces and he is led on a journey to find her. The soldier ventures into a world where AI is apart of everyday life and robots are lifelike, even to go as far as imitating soldiers, girlfriends, and teachers. The movie explores the implications of integrating AI into daily life and creating it with such lifelike features. The amazing story, cinematography, and characters make this a movie to rewatch.

*whew this is way shorter and straight to the point! Thank you, Dr. Oblivion!
